Formal attire is preferred for our soirée. Dress up to your heart's content!   If you'd like to wear heels, wedges or block heels would be a more sensible choice due to the rocky and grassy terrain at The Ranch.   It tends to get chilly after sundown, so bring a coat! Blankets, fire pits, and outdoor heaters will be present to ensure your comfort.   When choosing your outfit, please try to avoid rust, tan, and soft pink hues.

Getting to New Mexico

When traveling to Santa Fe, we recommend flying into Albuquerque Airport (ABQ) and renting a car there. Flights into Albuquerque tend to be much less expensive than those into Santa Fe Municipal Airport and there are more nonstop options. If you prefer not to rent a car for the weekend, there are shuttle services to Santa Fe from ABQ and there will be group transportation available for the wedding jamboree.

Where to Stay

Although Albuquerque is easier to fly into, Santa Fe is a more endearing and convenient place to stay for the wedding weekend. Getting to the Ranch

Blame Her Ranch is located about 50 minutes outside of Santa Fe and is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Albuquerque. Traveling to The Ranch from Santa Fe is more accessible, as the roads from that direction are all paved and easier to navigate. There will be a shuttle bus available on the wedding day to take guests from a meeting point in Santa Fe to The Ranch, and back at the end of the hoopla.

With over 100 margaritas to choose from and an excellent menu of New Mexican cuisine, this is one of Reed and Syma's favorite restaurants. It's right down the street from the Opera apprentice housing so this was a frequent easy date night spot for them during the summer when they met.

Maria's New Mexican Kitchen

This place has THE BEST jalapeño poppers ever. Their menu has a variety of New Mexican and other Latin options to choose from. Also, they make an incredible prickly pear margarita! We recommend heading straight to the rooftop cantina instead of dining in the main restaurant.

Coyote Cafe & Rooftop Cantina

This place is a great breakfast or lunch spot near the Railyard District in Santa Fe. Syma wants everyone to know that they have to try the Cold Brew Cacao smoothie and the savory pancakes.

Modern General Feed & Seed

Del Charro? Today? Tomorrow? Right now. With delicious margaritas and easy New Mexican eats this is a staple in Downtown Santa Fe. This is a Santa Fe Opera lighting department favorite and has either a more classic restaurant seating area or a fun saloon-style bar.

The Santa Fe Plaza is a great central area in downtown Santa Fe with tons of cute shops to explore. There's usually great food vendors and local artists with stalls in and around the plaza as well.

Amazing art exhibit experience and one of the most popular attractions in Santa Fe. It can get crowded and sells out so we recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you want to check it out.

For a stroll through some incredible art galleries, take a walk up and down Canyon Road. There are galleries with all kinds of art including modern, indigenous, and hyper-realism.

This is a beautiful area to go walk around and check out shops and artisan booths. The Santa Fe Farmer's Market also happens here on the weekends and is a great place to get some roasted chiles, local goat cheese, and fresh baked breads which is what Reed and Syma ate for breakfast the last time they were in town!
